This past week has been a week of clean up and recovery from the high water situation for Water Front property owners.

The Franklin County Water District issued the following notice on Friday, January 8th.

Disaster Declaration

High Lake Level / Flooding Update

The County Judge will be issuing a disaster declaration on the flooding at Lake Cypress Springs. This will allow residents with damage to apply for State disaster relief.

Information on eligibility requirements and how to apply will be included in a follow up communication when the declaration is issued.

The lake and all the parks, except for Walleye and Guthrie Park, are open. Lake Patrol is continuing to work to reunite lost property with owners. If you have not reported either lost or found property, you can contact the District to do so at fcwd@fcwd.com or 903.537.4536

FUN IN WINSBORO!!

Vance Gilbert at The Bowery Stage at The Winnsboro Center for the Arts

Saturday, January 16

WHAT A FUN GUY THIS IS!   He's played Winnsboro before at the original Crossroads and we're excited that he is coming back!  You'll certainly hear "his hit" Unfamiliar Moon" along with "Old White Men" and you'll also hear very funny stuff!

Vance Gilbert burst onto the singer/songwriter scene in the early 90's when the buzz spread through the folk clubs of the Northeast about an ex-multicultural arts teacher who was knocking them dead at open mics.

Word got out about this Philadelphia-area born and raised performer, and Shawn Colvin invited Gilbert to be a special guest on her 1992 Fat City tour. Gilbert took audiences across North America by storm. "With the voice of an angel, the wit of a devil, and the guitar playing of a god, it was enough to earn him that rarity: an encore for an opener" wrote the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in its review of a show from that tour.

Tickets $12 (Advanced General Admission) or $20 Reserved (with Bistro Table)
